The Pegasus is Washingon College’s yearbook, which has been in circulation since 1927. When I joined The Pegasus team in 2017 as Editor in Chief, the yearbook was in desperate need of a contemporary overhaul. Most students no longer read the yearbook and many of the graphics had not been updated in years.
My first task as Editor in Chief was to modernize the look and feel of the yearbook with a new logo and branding. I created this logo for our social media accounts and team uniforms, as seen in the second photo.
We also revitalized our social media presence with a new Instagram account, photo contests, student spotlights, and weekly posts. The Instagram account in particular is up to about 375, about a fourth of the student population.
